The BBC has apparently stopped playing "Gotcha Nose" with the American Version of Top Gear and finally has decided that the show will air this fall on the History Channel. Season one of Top Gear: America is 10 episodes and will be hosted by Tanner Foust, Adam Ferrara, and Rutledge Wood.

Who the F**K are these Guys?

Tanner Foust aside, I have never heard of any of these people, but I can at least say that any of them will be better than Adam Carolla, who I can only describe as a pompous @$$.

Useless ranting aside, Tanner Foust is a stunt driver whose work can be seen in the Bourne Ultimatum, is an X-Games rally gold medalist, and has competed in the Pikes Peak competition. Adam Ferrara will be the "pretty boy" of the bunch, as he is most noted for being an Actor on the FX series Rescue Me.

The other guy Rutledge Wood, is a NASCAR analyst, which pretty much means he knows a lot about crashes, mullets, and left turns. I was also informed that he was given a 1953 Plymouth Suburban by the legend himself, Richard Petty.

Overall, I have to say that they seem to have the right mix of skill, funny, and automotive geekery to make this show work. Only time and the first few episodes will tell.

Have to say, Ferrara looks like a fat version of Richard Hammond

Rutledge Wood with the nascar aspect is going to kill it. The whole fun of top gear is that they are above the other car shows (for grease monkey rednecks). And i heard there might not be a stig, FAIL in the making.

I hope you are wrong, but good point. And Foust is probably their excuse for the Stig, albeit a far less anonymous Stig at that.
