The 2010 Chevy Camaro seems to be a popular number as its sales are beating expectations and the car has even been able to beat the Ford Mustang in sales volume over the past few months. Now, General Motors plans to build on that success by offering a Convertible Camaro that should reach showrooms by the end of this year as a 2011 model.

The 2011 Chevy Camaro Convertible sports no visual changes from the Camaro coupe other than its retracting soft top. No word on what engines will be offered on the convertible version, but I am more concerned about what safety features GM has added to the vehicle. Seeing as the 2010 Camaro Coupe is short on headroom, I am hoping they added pop-up roll bars in the event that this muscle car takes a tumble harder than Scarlet did.
