Tomorrow marks the start of the 3rd Annual Memorial Weekend Mazda Corral at Lime Rock Park.

Located in Lakeville, CT with over 50 years of racing history under its belt, Lime Rock Park is:

"...unlike any other track in the world.  There is a reason Lime Rock Park has the word “Park” in its name, as over three hundred acres of natural Northwest Connecticut beauty surround the 1.53-mile track.  From an intimate private automobile playground to a jam-packed major spectator event, Lime Rock Park can look like a lot of different things depending on when you happen to visit.  There are days that it might take you twenty minutes to just get to your parking spot, and others where it might feel like you have the entire place to yourself."

The event this year is once again hosted by four northeastern Mazda clubs: Cleveland6Club, NEPOC, NY/NJ Rotary and CT Rotary, and is sponsored by Grand-Am, Piloti, Meyer Motorsports and Freedom Autosports.

Weekend Schedule:
  • Friday: Grand-Am, F2000 and Historic Grand Prix Practices, as well as pace laps around the track for Mazda Corral attendees
  • Saturday: More practices, qualifying, Corral pace laps, as well as three races: Historic Grand Prix, Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge and F2000 Championship Race
  • Sunday: Charity 5K run around the track, Mutt Strut Event and a BBQ/Meet and Greet with Grand-Am drivers!
  • Monday: F2000 Championship 2, Historic Grand Prix 2 and Grand-Am 2 races.

This will be my first year at this event, so stay tuned all weekend for race reports and pictures from the track, as well as full writeups from each day's events.
