GM has officially announced that they will be cutting off the Saturn brand and offering no new vehicles until it's completely gone in 2011. The move was part of their "restructuring plan" but it seems like a bad one.

The brand was just starting to get ridiculously good, with North American Car of the Year going to the Saturn Aura in 2007, the Saturn Vue Plug-in on it's way, the sexy and sporty SKY roadster, and the European Astra.

None of the above vehicles had the boring styling of many of GM's current offerings that are around $20k and offered amazing service at the dealership on top of that!

It's a shame to see a brand that was infused with so much good marketing, fantastic customer service and unique vehicles just disappear, when Hummer should have been the first to go (then GMC).
