Though the VW Concept BlueSport was revealed in Italian, the roadster definitely speaks for itself when it comes economical fun. The roadster is clean, sipping only gallon of diesel for every 42 miles travelled while emitting nearly as much CO2 as a Toyota Prius. This sleek mid-engined roadster is powered by a 177 horsepower engine, producing 258 lb-ft of torque. Enough launch this 2,640 pound machine from 0-60 in 6.2 seconds. The dual-clutch six-speed DSG transmission will paddle shift the BlueSport to a top speed of 140 mph.

Though this is a concept, VW says that cars like this is the future of the company. So expect a production version of something similar to this in a couple of years. We feel that any company that is bringing fuel efficeiency, exitement, and style in an economical package is on the right track.
