Spy photographers in South Korea have spotted the next gen Sonata and Tucson just sitting around in a parking lot. Due for launch in their home country in 2009 and then for the U.S. in 2010, the styling of both looks to be revised greatly over the current vehicles.

The Sonata's styling will follow in the footsteps of the larger Genesis but with a sportier profile like the Genesis Coupe. Projector-beam type headlights, LED taillights, and clean bodylines are expected. Also expect a class leading interior, with Hyundai upping the bar past the current Accord, Camry, and Malibu. Hyundai-blog says, "The 2010 Sonata will be powered by various diesel and gasoline engines" with a hybrid following afterward.

Shots of the Tucson are limited, but various engine choices and a smoother clean cut body is expected as people move away from the rugged look of SUV's.

If the new Sonata looks anything like those renderings, then this will be, in my opinion, the greatest looking non-luxury midsize sedan on the market.
