General Motors is recalling 4,296 Chevrolet Sonic vehicles of the 2012 model year that were manufactured from June 2, 2011 through November 21, 2011. The front inner and outter brake pads of the vehicle may have not been installed during assembly, which will affect the braking performance of the Sonic, or possibly lead to an accident.
Dealers will inspect the brakes and replace/install new rotors, calipers, and pads. Owners can contact the NHTSA safety hotline at 1-888-327-4236 to have questions answered. The capaign number of the recall is 11354.
