When we first broke the story of Toyota and Subaru collaborating on a hot new roadster, it proved to be one of our most popular stories. Previously, we thought that the FT-86 concept would take the form of of the new scion tC.
Now that the new tC is out and Toyota has gotten "pedalgate" behind them, the company has began to focus on more exciting product offerings. This teaser shows the FT-86 II concept. Thus far, all we know is that it will have a Subaru sourced boxer engine and will feature more aggressive styling than that of the previous FT-86 concept.
Expect the FT-86 II concept to bow at the upcoming 2011 Geneva Motor Show. Research and development prototypes, or mules, have been spotted around the Nurburgring undergoing drive dynamics testing, meaning that a production model of the FT-86 should hit showrooms around late 2012 or early 2013.
