Let's be serious, until recently the Jeep Wrangler has been quite unchanged, in terms of styling, ever since it was introduced. A couple of years ago, Jeep changed the styling recipe for its Wrangler and it yielded increased sales. Feeling like their on a roll, Chrysler bosses now believe remixing the 2011 Jeep Wrangler's interior styling will also leave a good taste in their mouths.

Featuring a more organic-shaped dash, improved ergonomics, and upgraded materials, the 2011 Jeep Wrangler has become more refined. All vehicles now include heated mirrors and a larger rear window for better visibility.

Finally getting a feature that less expensive cars have had for years, the 2011 Wrangler gets steering wheel mounted controls for the radio, cruise control, and phone with Bluetooth connectivity. Planners have also added a new USB interface with Bluetooth streaming audio, which essentially means you can connect your iPod to it.

Though you will hear Jeep purists complaining about all these creature comforts, there is the stripped down Rubicon model and all models still feature Jeep's Legendary capability. However, what you will not hear a lot of is noise, as the new Wrangler features significantly more sound-deadening material to muffle road noise.

Sahara models will get a body matching hard top with available sunroof, which beats the previous Sahara's addition of pretentious decals. Five new colors such as, Deep Cherry Red, Bright White, Sahara Tan, Detonator Yellow, and Cosmos Blue join previously offered colors that have adorned Wranglers.

Expect to see this extensively reworked 2011 Jeep Wrangler on dealer lots soon as production started last week at Chrysler's Toledo Assembly Complex, in Ohio.

This is the first I've heard of a "Sunroof".. I can understand leather and better materials on the interior, they need it, the cheap plastic junk on today's American made vehicles is horrible and honestly leather should outwear cloth as long as its good leather like BMW uses and not the terrible stuff like GM uses.

Heated mirrors on vehicle that your going to drive in winter weather just seems like a no brainer and should have been standard years ago.

I say good job Jeep. You finally stepped up your game and are sure to add some customer base in doing so.

@Jamie D. The "sunroof" I mentioned was something I noticed in the images. I am thinking it will be a pop-out sunroof, but there is now way to tell from the picture. I will ask Chrysler tomorrow and update everyone.

the pop-out "sunroof" is already on the Wrangers in production. There are three pieces to the hard top that is optional equipment on them. You can take out a piece that is just over the driver's head, piece that is just over the passengers head, both off to make it look like the last picture posted above. or completely off for an entirely roofless experience as everyone knows is possible with a Wrangler.

@Jamie D: The stuff you mention is fine on a Liberty or Grand Cherokee, but the Wrangler is a different animal. It has a "hose out interior", which means leather isn't a good idea. Wrangler is made to be tough and rugged. Materials like leather need more care. Mud and water wreak havoc on leather surfaces, not to mention sunlight drying it out, and most Wranglers see a lot of time with their roofs off/lowered. A Wrangler is purposely simple because it works best that way for the intended purpose of the vehicle. Making one more BMW-like will only take away from the vehicle's ability to do it's job best, and water it down more. If you want something more refined, there are a lot of other vehicles to choose from. The 2011 Grand Cherokee is Mercedes designed and engineered. Maybe you should look at one of those.
