Our friends at AutoExpress, managed to get their fish and chip eating hands all over these new pics of the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta. According to AutoExpress, the 2011 Volkswagen Jetta has departed platforms with its stablemate, the Golf. 

 

Because of this, the new 2011 VW Jetta will grow in length by about 3.5 inches and has received styling cues that are somewhat different than that of the Golf. Cues, such as the tail lamps and trunk lid, have been directly taken away from the Volkswagen's NCC Concept that was unveiled earlier this year at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

 

Under the hood, expect to find a choice of either a 1.4 liter or 2.0 liter TSI engines rated at 121 horsepower and 200 horsepower, respectively. Volkswagen may even offer their fuel-saving BlueMotion technology that includes regenerative braking and start-stop technology.

 

Since Volkswagen decided to put this new Jetta on a separate platform than the Golf, it has us wondering if we will ever see a two-door Jetta that is similar to the NCC Concept.
