The Kizashi needed to be washed BADLY this weekend. With over 1,500 miles added to it in less than two weeks, it needed to see the face of a soft sponge. I had most of the supplies on hand: a chamois, special washing sponge, a unique car-washing-approved bucket, a fancy garden hose with a highly engineered sprayer, Meguiar's Tech Wax 2.0, and Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax.
I sprayed it down, scrubbed it clean, used a clay bar in certain areas using another Meguiar's product (I've had the best experience with them), waxed every panel, and admired the beauty. A few Kizashi owners have noted paint chips on their cars, but I didn't see a single spot on my car.
The interior was still pretty clean from a quick vacuum and wipe down the day before so I didn't bother with that.
The next day a friend of mine came by to have me check out his newly waxed Vivid Red Kizashi GTS AWD. The red looked absolutely STUNNING. It's the same red you see on Audi vehicles, no maroon or cherry red here. I also really liked the tinted side windows.
It's the start of another work week, and I'll be taking a trip to Rutgers University in a few days (and driving a Suzuki SX4 Sportback while I'm there). Does anyone want a car washing or Kizashi question answered?
