In a world where the economy appears to be falling apart and companies are filing for bankruptcy protection left and right, what is one to do? Well, we here at The College Driver have no idea! But how about burying your head in the sand for a few moments and harkening back to simpler times, back to when the Dow was still above 10,000 and Sarah Palin was still just a glimmer in John McCain's eye.
Yes, we are talking about two Februaries ago, when GM held their Chevy College Super Bowl Ad competition. For those who don't recall, the contest pitted teams of college students against one another to produce the best Chevy ad, which was to be aired during Super Bowl XLI. The contest was won by Katie Crabb of North Prairie, WI, who was sent by GM, all expenses paid, to lovely Detroit (oh boy), along with four other teams of finalists, to learn about the cars and to present their entries to executives. More than 800 teams registered, and the video below shows the ad that was selected. We're pretty sure it will bring back memories.
