Chrysler is putting out a small, but important recall for 132 Dodge Caliber compacts. The recall affects 2010 model year vehicles because some vehicles may have been built with an incorrect door lock rod in the front passenger-side door.

When the window is rolled down, the window mechanism can hit the rod and cause the door to unlatch. This means that the door could swing open, which can lead to several possible scenarios of someone getting hurt.

Chrysler dealers will inspect and replace the front passenger-side door lock rod free of charge if it is in fact the wrong one. Chrysler will notify Dodge Caliber owners in June, when the correct rods are expected to be available. Owners can contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 for more information.
