Call it a trigger-happy citizen or a gun-shy police department, but yesterday an idling BMW prototype of an X3 crossover caused a 90 minute bomb scare in front of the American Museum of Natural History. In the wake of last week's failed attempt to car bomb Times Square, a passerby who was walking her dog noticed an unattended idling vehicle, feared the worst, and called the police.
Other than the fact that the vehicle was lightly camouflaged with BMW's signature psychedelic swirl pattern appliques, there didn't seem to be much suspicious about the vehicle. Police quickly responded in bomb gear and smashed out the rear window.
Failing to evacuate the nearby museum, tourists then noticed what was going on and quickly left in somewhat of panic. It was quickly determined though that the vehicle was about as harmless as the fossils in the museum.
After a brief investigation, police determined that the vehicle was a prototype and the driver of the vehicle, Martin Birkmann, inadvertently left the vehicle idling when he to a break and went for a walk in Central Park. Birkmann was later issued a ticket for idling.

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates. I've been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
My coder is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the expenses. But he's tryiong none the less. I've been using WordPress on a number of websites for about a year and am nervous about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
